The Northeast Illinois Silverbacks RFC defeated its opponent, Haitian Rugby Football All-Stars, 84-12 in last Saturday's match.  The Silverbacks were led by speedy winger Eric Fike's four tries.  Fike's first try came from over 80 meters out, as he fielded a positional kick mid-stride and sliced through the Haitian All Stars' defense.

Flanker Jeff Hallgren scored his first ever try early in the second half.  After the match he participated in the solemn rite of Zulu to commemorate the occasion.
